Programme Overview
The calorific value (CV) of coal gas produced in steel processes (including mixed gas) defines its proper re-usage. The coal gas can be reused for turbine engine, boiler, reheating furnace, downstream steel treatment or others by detecting precise calorific value to optimize burner efficiency.

Continuous monitoring of calorific value also to determine whether the coal gas can be used as a standalone fuel supply or needs to be blended with the constant fuel source such as natural gas. Calorific value is more often an indicator of the interchangeability of fuel gases, frequently defined in the specifications of gas supply and transport.

FPI's Solution
LGA-C300 Calorific Value Analyzer combines Tunable Diode Laser(TDL) and Thermal Conductivity to measure 3 fuel gas compositions (CO,CH4,H2) simultaneously. It's an indirect method of calorific value analysis, solving all the conventional problems caused by ignition, combustion and heat exchange. Nevertheless, it's an affordable analyzer tailor-made for fuel gases produced in steel plants.
